- 1. Windows 3.1 and Netscape with Trumpet Winsock
-
- 2. Also does the same thing when running from DOS 6.1
- using an old version of QModem.
-
- 3. Also does same thing when running Comm program
- out of Microsoft Works
-
- Regardless to how many times I try the Modem will not respond to
- an ATZ command until the Power is recycled. Recycle the power just once
- and all is fine! :o]

- I am not using Win95. I have set my Comm speed to 115200 and also
- tried 57600. This is "my computer to my modem" comm speed.

- Shawn, thanks for the help. I just today E-Mail USR for a couple of
- bulletins. One on general troubleshooting and one on Trumpet Winsock.
- I really don't think it is Op. system related in my case. DOS or Windows
- it does the same. It is more of a nuisance than anything else. Ran into
- another fellow with the same problem. He solved it by direct wiring his
- modem so it just always stays on! I'm sure the answer will be to change
- some parameter in the modem itself. Boy, it is amazing how complicated
- modems can be.
-
- Thanks,
- Jim
